Twin's Concert

On Saturday 20th October 2018 my brother and I held our own concert in St Gregory’s Church, Marnhull to raise money for choir funds. The programme consisted of solo piano pieces, duets and songs by composers ranging from Scarlatti, Haydn and Brahms, Sousa to the more modern Josh Grobham.

The concert was preceded and followed by delicious tea, coffee and cakes. Donations amounted to a staggering £550.

The Veteran's Dream

On the 13th October 2018 I performed in “The Veteran’s Dream”, an opera to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War 1. The opera had been a year in the making and was entirely written, composed and produced by local musician Francesca Murray Mattei. It grew from an original poem written by Francesca in 2012, which was performed throughout the opera, and aimed to give an impression of the sadness associated with the war while also promoting the hope for a peaceful future. I was part of the small choir of Gillingham School students and also sang duet and solo items.

Gillingham School's Music Tour to Tuscany

In July I went on music tour with Gillingham School’s orchestra and jazz band to Tuscany. We played in three contrasting venues including the Terme Tettuccio Spa. During the week, between rehearsing and performing, we got a chance to take in the beauty of the Tuscan scenery and to visit some important landmarks including the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Cathedral of Santa Maria in Florence.

Magna Cantata

In 2015 I performed a main role in the prestigious world premiere of ‘The Magna Cantata’ in Salisbury Cathedral. The play was written and performed in honour of the 800 year anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta.

I played Beatrice, a giddy and romantic newly appointed maid to King John’s household. The show ran for three consecutive nights, each one attracting an audience which packed the Cathedral.
